Change of Toothbrush 

Changing the toothbrush after every three months is very important in ensuring dental hygiene. If not done, the toothbrush bristles will act as a haven for bacteria accumulation, which will get back in to the mouth. Electric toothbrushes are no exception and should also be changed regularly. Continuous use of a toothbrush without changing it also makes the bristle too soft and ineffective during brushing. Avoiding toothbrushes with hard bristles and choosing ones with softer ones, is one way of protecting your gums from damage.


This should be done before brushing in order to get rid of plaque which often collects in between the teeth. Flossing is very important because it reaches where the toothbrush doesn’t and inhibits the many dental problems that originate from this area. Maintaining Fresh Breath

Poor dental care is the major course of bad breath. It results from bacteria breaking down food remains and plaque in the mouth and therefore producing VSC (Volatile Sulphur Compounds) an equivalent of bad breath. These bad-breath- causing bacteria can simply be inhibited by ensuring food remains and plaque are gotten rid of. It is therefore important to maintain dental hygiene and health to avoid jeopardizing your overall health.
